I have always enjoyed the freedom that working on paper allowed. There isn't
the lengthy preparation time that is necessary with canvas, just grab a sheet of
paper and paint. Paper absorbs the paint in its own way and the paintings surfaces
have a variety of expressive richness and immediacy. I have worked with many
different subjects but in the past few years abstracted plant forms have been the
predominant image. Currently I have returned to painting the Landscape. My most
current images are the more traditional form of Landscape with a horizon line and
recognizable forms where as in the past I was working with “AERIAL LANDSCAPE”.
All these pieces have been done on a 100% Archival rag paper. The pieces are
mostly done in a mixed media of Acrylic Paint, Oil Pastel, and Conte Crayon. The
site is setup so you view the images by years rather than subject. There is the
thumbnail image which will allow you to click on it to view a larger image and
on some images you can click the link to view an even larger more detailed image.
